Step one: prepare the surface Using a mild detergent clean the surface to which you wish to apply the stickers carefully. Remove unwanted dust and grime and dry with a lint free cloth.
Step two: peel away the backing film Lay the sticker down on a flat surface. Carefully peel away the backing film so that the sticker is now attached to the transparent application (transfer) sheet only. The sticky side will be exposed. Step three: apply the sticker For small logos and stickers simply align the sticker carfeully and smooth it out with yiour hands to apply it. Once in position it cannot be moved, so use great care. Go over the surface with your credit card, paying particular attention to the corners and small details. For larger logos and lines of text, ask a friend for help and use the wet method. This involves spraying the surface with a mild water and washing up liquid solution before attempting to position the sticker. The wet method will give you a little freedom to adjust the position a little without damaging the vinyl. Wait about 10-15 minutes for the sticker to dry, sometimes you will have to let the sticker dry out a lot longer before removing the transfer sheet, depending on size and amount of solution used. Step four: remove the transparent transfer sheet Carefully peel off the transfer sheet and using a pin, pop any bubbles that may have appeared and smooth them over. |
